Delete your account
Applies to the apps Nanna and Ninna by upstairs (Android package com.hyo.familyfilm). You can delete your account from inside the app, or by email if you no longer have it installed.
1. In the app
- Open Nanna and go to the Today tab.
- Tap the gear icon at the top right to open Settings.
- Scroll down to the Data section.
- Optional but recommended: tap Export as CSV first to keep a copy of every record.
- Tap Delete account.
- Read the explanation on that screen, tap Delete account, then confirm with Delete.
If you are a family member: your account is deleted right away, together with the clips and photos you uploaded.
If you are the family owner: deleting removes the whole family — everyone's records, clips and photos — after a 7-day grace period. The other members are notified, and you can stop it any time during those seven days with Cancel deletion on the same screen.
2. By email, without the app
Write to [email protected] from the email address you signed in with.
- Subject: Delete my account
- In the message, give the email address of the Google account you used to sign in.
- We may ask one question to make sure the account is yours.
- We confirm by email and complete the deletion within 30 days — in practice much sooner. If you are the family owner, the same 7-day grace period applies.
3. What gets deleted
- Your sign-in account (the identity created when you signed in with Google)
- Every video clip and photo you uploaded — removed from the storage bucket and the database
- Your push notification token and notification settings
- Your personal settings
- Family owners only: the entire family — babies, all records, all clips and photos, all memberships and invites, and all Ninna pregnancy records belonging to it
4. What stays, and why
- Records you logged stay with your family (if you are not the owner). A feed or a nap belongs to the baby's shared history, so the entry remains — but your name is removed from it and it shows as "Former member".
- Copies on other people's phones. Each member's phone keeps its own local copy until they remove it with Settings → Data → Clear family data from this device, or uninstall the app.
- Your own phone. Deleting signs you out and clears the family data on your device; uninstalling removes the rest.
- Purchase records. Google Play and RevenueCat keep subscription receipts under their own policies and the tax law that applies to us.
- Backups. Before any change to the database we take our own backup and keep only the ten most recent, deleting older ones automatically. Data you deleted can still exist in one of those until it rotates out.
5. How long it takes
| Case | When it happens | Can it be undone? |
|---|---|---|
| Family member, in the app | Immediately | No |
| Family owner, in the app | After 7 days | Yes — "Cancel deletion" within those 7 days |
| Request by email | Within 30 days | Until we carry it out |
